Cynthia Ann Crawford was born February 20, 1966. She is an American model, actress and a TV host. She was a model and an iconic figure on magazine covers runways, runways and fashion advertisements in the 1980s and 1990s. Later, she ventured into acting and launched a company. In her sophomore year of high school, she got an inquiry from a local clothing shop for modeling jobs and was shocked to find out it was a prank played by two of her fellow classmates. The following year, another store recruited a variety of high school students, including Crawford, to perform their duties (including an event for fashion). In her junior year, local photographer Roger Legel, whose duties included photographing another college girl to be the week's coed for the DeKalb Nite Weekly, asked to photograph her to be published in the magazine. The result was her first cover. The photograph and the positive comments received from her were enough to encourage her to begin modeling. She began with a small agency. Elite Model Management bought it right after she signed. She was a participant in Elite's Look of the Year contest at the age of 17 and made it to the finals at the national level.
